Entries Sought for Statewide Student Research Competition

Professor points to poster with ruler while student looks onStudents share original research during the 2016 Research Conference in the College of Science and Mathematics.
Applications are now being accepted for the 31st annual CSU Research Competition.  

 

The College of Science and Mathematics is calling on students working on senior projects or master theses to enter their research into the 31st annual California State University Student Research Competition. The competition will be held April 28-29 at Cal Poly.

The CSU-wide competition promotes excellence in undergraduate and graduate research. More than 200 students representing each of the 23 campuses present original research to a panel of judges during the competition.

Date to remember: 

Jan. 20: Deadline for student applications to the department chairs.

Jan. 23: Deadline for submission of college-nominated projects to the Office of Research and Economic Development.

Feb. 18: On-campus review of student presentations and selection of entries to CSU statewide competition.

March 17: If selected for statewide competition, deadline for registration with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

April 28-29: Statewide competition at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
